Instructions
This printable includes 2 pages:
- Page 1: Train templates (Future Tense & Present Continuous Tense)
- Page 2: Train car pieces (two assembly options)
How to Prepare
- Print both pages on regular paper.
- Cut along the middle line of the train page.
- Pick the tense to be used.
- Let children color the trains if desired.
Choose One of the Two Assembly Options
Option 1: Cut & Fold
- Write the verbs to be practiced on the train cars.
- Cut out the train cars.
- Fold along the dotted lines to create flaps.
- Fold the flaps behind each train car and glue or tape them in place.
- This option allows the train cars to overlap and creates a movable, layered train.
Option 2: Cut & Staple
- Write the verbs to be practiced on the train cars.
- Cut out the train cars.
- Overlap the ends of the train cars in the correct order.
- Staple the overlapping sections together.
- This is the quickest and sturdiest option, especially for classroom use.
