Kids love finding things. They are curious about everything and they always feel excited and fulfilled when they find things.
Through teaching the Chinese language to my kids and students. I found that they all love Chinese learning activities which involve searching and finding, whatever for learning Pinyin, Chinese characters, or vocabulary.
The search-and-find activities can help kids fully engage and practice. It inspired me to create a Chinese picture book embedding the search and find activity throughout the whole book to keep kids’ interest and concentration.
Features of the book

- nine common fruit names and two simple repetitive sentences in the form of question and answer “Where is …?” and “It’s here!” in Chinese. It is great for beginner learners.
- fun activities of searching and finding the fruit on the plain color page and then finding out if the kids are correct by turning to the page which has the fruit in color. This activity is throughout the whole book.
- a match game at the end of the book which helps kids review the fruit names.
- bilingual book with large font for Chinese characters and Pinyin, and small font for English translation.
- free audio reading and a printable pack that includes printable flashcards, and worksheets corresponding to this book are available.
I hope teachers, parents, and young learners find this picture book helpful to their Chinese.
