Free Weekly Weather Tracker

Weather is a common topic in daily life conversation, no matter which language is spoken. To learn and practice weather in a fun and engaging way, we have created the weekly weather tracker worksheet for young learners to record the weather in their living area.

On this page, you can find two versions of the weekly weather tracker, the Hanzi version and the Hanzi+Pinyin version.

Each version has two same pages of weekly weather tracker. I made this for printing purpose as I would like to print it by making two weekly weather trackers on one A4 paper (set the printer to: two pages per sheet). Then I would cut each A4 paper in half to make two weekly weather trackers. In case our parents/teachers would like to do the same, I keep it the same to you all.

Words covered on the worksheet:

Name: 姓名 xìng míng
Date: 日期 rì qī
Weekly Weather: 一周天气 yì zhōu tiān qì
Sunny: 晴天 qíng tiān
Overcast: 阴天 yīn tiān
Clouday: 多云 duō yún
Raining: 下雨 xià yǔ
Windy: 刮风 guā fēng
Snowing下雪 xià xuě
Rainbow: 彩虹 cǎi hóng
Thunderstorm: 雷雨 léi yǔ
Monday: 星期一 xīng qī yī
Tuesday: 星期二 xīng qī èr
Wednesday: 星期三 xīng qī sān
Thursday: 星期四 xīng qī sì
Friday: 星期五 xīng qī wǔ
Saturday: 星期六 xīng qī liù
Sunday: 星期日(天) xīng qī rì ( tiān )

How to use the Weekly Weather Tracker

Print out the worksheet on A4 or B5 paper. It can also be printed on other sized paper, just set the print scaling to “fit to printable area”.

As I mentioned earlier, I used the weekly weather tracker for a group of six students. I printed it by creating two weekly weather trackers on one A4 paper (set the printer to: two pages per sheet). So for six students, I only printed them with three pieces of A4 paper. And then I cut each A4 paper in half to make two weekly weather trackers.

Hand out the tracker worksheet to each student.

Students write down their names and the date on top of the worksheet. Then they look at the sky and record the weather by Hanzi, Pinyin or just drawing.

They can do it by once, or keep recording for one week.

After they finish the work, I usually put a sticker or a stamp on the worksheet as a reward. They loved it!
