Ball games are very popular among kids and even adults, we can see people playing ball games everywhere no matter at school or in the park, on weekdays or weekends.

On this page, kids can learn six ball names in Chinese. They can engage with various fun and engaging activities. These activities cover the practice of Chinese characters and vocabulary.

Flashcards -six names of balls. Two sets of flashcards.

Flashcard Set A – There is a picture, a Chinese word, and Pinyin all on the front side of the card. Set B is used for learning, reading, and memorizing words.

Flashcard Set B – this set of flashcards is for double-sided printing (flip on the short edge). But you can also print the cards separately on a single side, this way you can let kids do a matching game – match the pictures with the Chinese words.

Character jigsaw puzzles

Each character jigsaw puzzle worksheet includes Pinyin, Characters, and English.

Below you can find two Chinese Character jigsaw puzzles. They offer the activities of fitting the pieces of puzzles. They also provide handwriting practice.

Cut out the scrambled character pieces on page one, then paste them together on page two to make a Chinese character.

Worksheet Activity 1 – Look and circle

This is a look and circle activity. It is good to memorize and enhance vocabulary learning.

Look at the word and then circle the picture that matches

Worksheet Activity 2 – Color and match

This activity is also for vocabulary review.

Kids like drawing and coloring activities. Color the items using the given color code at the bottom to show what each of the words means.

Worksheet Activity 3 – Word domino card games

There are two versions of the word domino card game.

The first worksheet has Chinese characters and Pinyin, and the second worksheet has Chinese characters only.

It could be difficult at the beginning for kids, they can cooperate with flashcards set A while doing this practice.
