How to Use the Chinese Number Puzzle Worksheet
This activity is simple to prepare and easy to use, making it perfect for classrooms, learning centers, or home use.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Glue the pieces in place
Print the worksheets
Print both the puzzle board and the puzzle sheet. Cardstock works best for durability, but regular paper is also fine.
Cut out the puzzle pieces
Cut along the grid lines on the puzzle worksheet to create 9 individual pieces.
Shuffle the pieces
Mix up the puzzle pieces to encourage problem-solving and active thinking.
Match Chinese numbers to digits
Students look at the Chinese number character on each piece and match it to the correct digit (1–9) on the board.
Glue the pieces in place
Once matched correctly, students glue each piece onto the corresponding square on the board.
Reveal the picture
When all pieces are placed correctly, a complete picture of Chinese New Year mandarins appears—an instant reward for careful learning!
