Free Monsters Coloring Worksheets

Kids love coloring activities. Coloring worksheets help kids learn the names of colors in a fun and enjoyable way. It also helps learners learn color names better.

On this page, you can find six pages of monster-themed coloring pages featuring cute monsters and Chinese Characters (Hanzi) (version one) or Hanzi +Pinyin (version two) for coloring activities that are free to download.

One of the six page has ten monsters with the expression “I am (color).” under each monster in Chinese Characters (Hanzi) (version one) or Hanzi +Pinyin (version two).

The other five pages have two monsters on each paper which you can cut in half and staple the half pages together to make a monster coloring book. The five pages also have the expression “I am (color).” under each monster in Chinese Characters (Hanzi) (version one) or Hanzi +Pinyin (version two).

Kids will enjoy coloring the pages and at the same time, learn ten color names in Chinese.

Ten Color Words:

black: 黑色 hēi sè
red: 红色 hóng sè
orange: 橙色 chéng sè
yellow: 黄色 huáng sè
green: 绿色 lǜ sè
blue: 蓝色 lán sè
purple: 紫色 zǐ sè
pink: 粉色 fěn sè
grey: 灰色 huī sè
brown: 棕色 zōng sè

Chinese Characters (Hanzi) Version

This version has monster images and Chinese characters.

This coloring worksheet combines images with color names just like a pictionary. Kids can refer to the worksheet for color names when they are making the coloring book below.

The coloring book (pages) has a sentence “I am____ (color).” under each monster. Kids can either pick a color randomly and color the monster, then write down the color name under that monster, or color the monster the same as the one on the ten monsters worksheet, then write down the color name.

Chinese Characters (Hanzi) + Pinyin Version

This version has monster images, Chinese characters and Pinyin, which provide a great opportunity for beginner Chinese learners to immerse themselves in the Chinese language, facilitate visual learning and reinforce learners’ literacy.

Kids will learn eleven Christmas words in the Chinese language along with their coloring activity. After coloring all the items with their crayon or colored pencils, staple them together using a stapler to make a Christmas Coloring Book.
