Halloween is just around the corner, it’s time to start planning costumes, decorations, and activities. It is also the perfect time to engage our kids in some Halloween coloring activities.
On this page, you can find 8 pages of Halloween-themed coloring pages that feature cute illustrations, Chinese characters, Pinyin ( or without Pinyin), and English definitions. Kids can enjoy coloring the pages and at the same time, they can also learn eight Halloween-themed Chinese words.

Eight Halloween Words:
Halloween: 万圣节 wàn shèng jié
haunted house: 鬼屋 guǐ wū
black cat: 黑猫 hēi māo
broom: 扫帚 sào zhou
mummy: 木乃伊 mù nǎi yī
vampire: 吸血鬼 xī xuè guǐ
Jack-o’-Lantern: 南瓜灯 nán guā dēng
Candy: 糖果 táng guǒ
There are two versions of the 8-page coloring books for the Halloween topic.
One version has illustrations, Chinese characters, Pinyin and English, which provide a great opportunity for beginner Chinese learners to immerse themselves in the Chinese language, they can practice pronouncing the words and coloring the Chinese characters and Pinyin if they want while coloring the images.

The other version includes illustrations, Chinese characters, and English but without Pinyin. The combination of illustrations with Chinese characters and English translations only can facilitate visual learning and reinforce learners’ literacy.
