As Mother’s Day is approaching, it’s time to show our love and gratitude to our beloved mother. I created the Chinese Mother’s Day Minibook for kids to draw, color, and make this special present for their best Mothers!
The minibook offers different kinds of activities for kids to engage on this special occasion such as coloring and drawing. The minibook will show the Mothers the care and love of their kids.
There are two versions of the minibook, one version has Chinese characters, Pinyin and English translations which is great for Chinese beginners. The other version has Chinese characters (Hanzi) only which is good for kids who are learning Chinese characters.
While the kids enjoy coloring and drawing, they can also learn the Monther’s Day-themed Chinese words and sentences for this Mother’s Day, including;
Happy Mother’s Day! – 母亲节快乐！ mǔ qīn jié kuài lè！
I love Mom. – 我爱妈妈. wǒ ài mā ma.
This is my Mom. – 这是我的妈妈. zhè shì wǒ de mā ma.
Her favourite color is: – 她最喜欢的颜色是: tā zuì xǐ huān de yán sè shì:
Her favourite fruit is: – 她最喜欢的水果是: tā zuì xǐ huān de shuǐ guǒ shì:
Her favourtie snack is: – 她最喜欢的零食是: tā zuì xǐ huān de líng shí shì:
If you would like your kids to learn and practice some Chinese words and expressions about Mother’s Day step-by-step, from Pinyin to Chinese characters, then to words and sentences, do check out our Mother’s Day printable pack. There are a variety of engaging flashcards, worksheets, and games to practice with.
How to create this Mother’s Day minibook
1. Print the page out with A4 or US Letterhead paper.
2. Kids will then draw or color the pictures corresponding to the given sentences, and color all the elements.
3. Fold along the short edge, then cut along the dotted line.
4. Fold it all to make a minibook. Done!
